Michael Hogue
Coach, Author, Podcaster
I never thought I’d be here.
I’m the guy that always wanted to not be seen, not be heard, and be out of sight and mind. I wanted to work and be left alone.
God has a sense of humor. Somehow, He put a desire in my heart to write, to teach, to speak, to coach, to podcast, and to spend my life in service to others.
Why? I don’t know exactly, but I know that I can bring something to the table that nobody else can bring. I’m a deep thinker, and I like to explore not just the metaphysical and supernatural world, but the complexity of human psychology. I also love to be creative.
Most of all, I love truth. I crave truth. I pursue truth. I don’t believe in just doing something because I was told to or because that’s the way it’s always been. I want to know what’s true and what isn’t, and I encourage you that as you walk this journey of life with me, that you’ll consider that maybe some of the concepts you’ve been hanging onto are not actually true.
Let’s be open and curious together as we seek to grow and become who God created us to be.
Some of my other work & interests
I’m not just a coach or blogger. I’m a digital marketer by trade, having had some hand in it for 18 years. I love being creative and I love learning, and digital marketing affords me both opportunities. I’m a Christ-follower, a husband for 30 years, a father to two awesome men, and an aoutdoors lover.
Family
I’m grateful to have been married for 30 years and to have 24 and 18 year old sons. When I look at my family, I realize how blessed I really am.
Learning
One of my “Clifton Strengths” is learning. I love to learn about history, philosophy, psychology, personal development, new digital marketing technicques and tools…really, just about anything!
Hiking
If I had to tell you my biggest passion, it would probably be the outdoors. I have a strong connection with God while in nature. I love to hike and be out in the forests and mountains, and then to sit and think in silence and stillness.
Video Games
I used to be a pretty big gamer, and I started gaming in the early 80’s, but I really don’t have much opportunity to do it anymore. I usually play Saturday nights with my brother and very sparsely otherwise. I just have too many other things to do that are priorities.
